OOTD (05.27.10) Waldorfing it.

Just as yesterday's outfit was brought to you by a fictional character, today's shall be also. I found this image the other day when I was hunting for photos for my style icons post, and thought, "I have pieces that would work for this look!" So...here it is!

Blair's version:

My version:

Headband, earrings: Target
Scarf: Postlapsaria
Sweater: Nordstrom
Pure & Good Basic Tank: Anthrpologie
Button Sampler Skirt: Anthropologie
Heels: BCBG

I originally bought this scarf for a specific purpose, but then when I spotted the photo of Blair's look, decided I could wear it! I got it from a fellow fashion blogger's shop, Postlapsaria, and I just love it. It has pictures of France all over it and the colors are so classic and vivid. I think this will make a great winter outfit too, with a quick sub of some closed toe shoes, tights and a beret, just like Blair.

What do we think?

Love your outfit today, it's so classic! I have quite a few scarves like that, but never can figure out how to wear them. Any tips for tying them?

All I did was wrap it around my shoulders and tie the ends, but I think I might try twisting it up and tying it around my neck, shorter next time. Parisian style!:)

Love your look today - very office appropriate but made a bit more fun with the gold heels.

I like your version better than hers - with her beret and non-descript neckerchief she looks a little like a flight attendant. I love that you ditched the hat and added a printed scarf for some extra pow. Now you just have to get some minions and rule the upper east side...

You look way better than Blair does! The show should be copying your look for her! I'm loving the skirt and the heels. I need a pair of heels that color...

Wao, I love how I can clearly see how you were inspired by Blair's outfit; but to be honest, your version is so much prettier! I looove the scarf! so cute!

I think your outfit is so much better than Blair's! I love the colors together and the way the scarf ties (!) it all together.

I agree with all of the comments above - pretty impressive when you can take the look and style of a celebrity, who has the top fashion folks dressing her, and make your outfit look SO much cuter! This outfit is one of my favorites...anything kind of preppy and I'm in love!

hey there, love the blog and your outfits :-). maybe you've addressed this before but i wanted to ask--i'd like to subscribe via google reader but only snippets come up instead of the entire post. i'm not sure if there is a way to change this or if you intentionally have it set up that way... just wanted to check.

Hi Anon,

I actually do know that my reader only shows a partial feed. The intent is to bring you to my actual blog to read posts as I feel that the content and design of a blog should work together.:)

Thanks!
