Anthropologie Reviews.

Morning all! It's going to be a crazy couple of days at work, so I'm leaving you with a few short reviews. Happy Monday and hope you had a great weekend!

The Refracted Tie-Back (Size 4) was one of those tops that is cute in theory, but just lacks the "wow" factor once you put it on. Peach, yellow and gray aren't exactly my colors, but I loved the idea of this top. It would be a great layering piece for those who can wear those colors. Pass for me, but recommended for another!

This outfit, made up of the Daring Dart Blouse (Size 4) and Field Scout Skirt (Size 6) was my very favorite pick. Crisp white blouse tucked into a 50's-esque skirt? OH YES PLEASE. This blouse is such a perfect basic piece, I can't wait to snatch it up and the skirt was heavenly. A little more casual material for the skirt makes it perfect for everyday wear! On the wishlist!

I wasn't super thrilled with this skirt which I couldn't find on the website, but it was cute. I liked the ruffles on the pockets and the fit, but the pattern was so-so. Pass!

The Sunday Supper Shirt (Size 4) and Sealed Envelope Wide-Legs (Size 6) were my second favorite items. And now, as I look online, I'm despairing that I didn't snatch the pants while I had a chance. I ordered the Smooth Sailing Wide-Legs when they went on sale for all of ten minutes and they looked absolutely AWFUL on me. So back those went. I'll have to call CS and see if I can procure a pair of these lovely white slacks. A must-have for summer!

The Faint Lines Tee (Small) paired with another mystery skirt (Size 6), was super soft, but so not me. The skirt reminded me of something from when I was in highschool. I'm not a big uneven/handkerchief hem person. The print was pretty though. Pass.

The Bright Burning Tank (Small), while cute, reminded me of a dish towel. Not really my style. Pass.

I was so looking forward to trying on the In A Twinkling Dress (Size 4) despite the online reviews that it's itchy and kind of a drab color. Well...the reviewers weren't wrong. The fabric is incredibly itchy, as you can see from this photo, the color doesn't particularly do anything for me, but I still LOVED this dress. The cut is just SO perfect. I think it would actually work better as a winter dress with tights and a cardigan, so if this baby goes on sale, IT IS MINE.

The High Seas Dress (Small), while bright and cute and comfy, was a no-go for me. It really poofs at the waist, and the neckline just didn't seem to match the rest of the dress. I loved the back, but it didn't seem as open as it looks in the product shot. Cute, but not for me. Pass.

The Shimmering Flower Beds Cardigan (Small) was the biggest surprise item. I'm shocked I even grabbed it because it's 1) gray- so not my color and 2) a thicker knit sweater. But I LOVED it. It's so cute and cropped, with slightly puffed sleeves and adorable vintage-style buttons. The yarn is so soft and even has a little shimmer to it. LOVE LOVE. This one is coming home with me, and I may not even be able to wait for a sale. And so continues my love for vintagey cardigans.

I also tried on the Height of Summer Dress (Size 4) and Minas Tank (Small) but they were so ugly on me, I decided not to even take a photo.

What do you think? Are your favorites my favorites? Did you visit Anthro this weekend?

Loves!

SO funny that we both went this weekend and tried on different things!

i mainly went to return stuff and then of course got sucked into the new clothes. i was good though - i didn't buy anything but the AG stilt roll up jeans. which i love - not too skinny but very audrey hepburn-ish. http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp?subCategoryId=CLOTHES-DENIM-SUPERSLIM&id=18765081&catId=CLOTHES-DENIM&pushId=CLOTHES-DENIM&popId=CLOTHES&sortProperties=&navCount=15&navAction=top&fromCategoryPage=true&selectedProductSize=&selectedProductSize1=&color=091&colorName=DARK%20DENIM&isSubcategory=true&isProduct=true&isBigImage=&templateType=

i also tried on that silk shirt with the big sequin flower and LOVED it but it's a tad too see-through for my liking and i couldn't justify it.

I love the In a Twinkling dress on you! I agree--it would be perfect for winter! I think the fabric is what has me waiting for a sale on it, too. Otherwise, it's so lovely!

I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who likes the dress.

The white pant and plaid shirt combo looks great on you...the fit is great. I was disappointed with the Minas tank too, hoping it would be great paired with legging like the Lean Lines tank. The colors and fabric were just awful.

You look great in the white slacks and Sunday Supper Shirt!! I kid you not - I was in ROSS this weekend and they had a sweater that looked EXACTLY like the Shimmering Flower Beds Cardi, but just in a longer, belted version and it was $11.99.

I love the Field Scout Skirt and the Daring Dart Blouse together! Neither one of those was on my radar until I saw how awesome they look on you :) I also like the outfit with the white pants and the Sunday Supper Shirt. Makes me want to go walk around the beach!

I too loved the In A Twinkling Dress - don't care about the material and love your idea of wearing it with tights - I'll be doing that for sure!
