OOTD (02.27.10) Le Skirt Edition.

GFU game and dinner with the fab four.

Top: J.Crew
Necklace, belt: Target
Skirt: Me! I made it!
Boots: Dolce Vita

I've got the bug. The sewing bug that is. I'm having A BLAST sitting in my little office, cutting out fabric, threading my machine, dreaming of future pieces. So, Friday night I sat down and pumped out two skirts (one of which is pictured above)! It turned out really well, I actually managed to sew the seams straight and thought "what the heck," I'll wear it to the basketball game!

Anyway, I'm working on an Anthro review post, so you can look forward to that. How were your weekends?

Awesome job! What sort of pattern are you using? I'm trying to get into sewing as well. I find it to be so satisfying. :)

Kathryn, I'm using a pattern from a book called "Chic and Simple" by Christine Haynes.

Your skirt is awesome! It looks like it could be found at J.Crew. I wish I knew how to sew it looks like such rewarding skill.

The skirt looks fantastic!! Straight seams are all about ironing and using your seam guides . . . do those two steps well and you're golden :) (Usually ;))
