Birthday List...

In case you didn't know, I am currently in Chicago at a BLOGGING conference, BlogHer to be exact. Yes, pretty much the coolest thing ever. Just seeing like 1,500 other women with a phone glued to their hand and overhearing conversations about Twitter and other bloggers is pretty incredible.

Though I am shy to a fault and also a little disgusted by the people who run across the room and tackle their favorite bloggers, I did come wanting to meet the people I've been reading for the last year.

And as of last night I have met all but one. Kind of cool. And guess what? They're all as gorgeous and funny in person (not shocking) as they are online. I also had a ridiculously good time hanging out the room last night with Rhi and Carissa.:)

BUT it is not time for a BlogHer review post quite yet, so let's change gears a little.

My birthday is in but a few short days. My twenty-third birthday. August 3rd to be exact. I'm not sure why, but 23 sounds kind of old. Kind of like I need to have my life figured out. Kind of like I'm a grown up now. YIKES.

At any rate, I thought I'd share this year's birthday list with you just in case you were wondering what I'm pining for, or in case you want to buy me things.:) Just kidding. Sort of.

1. A sewing machine.
2. Gossip Girl Season One.
3. Gilmore Girls Season One.
4. My French Life.
5.
Sookie Stackhouse Books.
6. Purse shopping with my Mom.

I usually buy a new purse every six months to a year and don't really switch too often. I'm not quite organized enough to remember to transfer stuff over all the time. All this to say IT IS TIME.

August is a great time to have a birthday. Far away from other holidays, this month allows for maximum present acquisition. If you're into that kind of thing.

Better get back to BlogHer, gotta gear up for a trip to H&M later today (praise Jesus!).

Love your birthday list! And I'm serious about getting together & sewing when you get a sewing machine!

I felt the same way about 23. It's such an odd number, but it was also the year I got married, became a homeowner and a stepmother. Very lifechanging. I'm turning 27 this year and am freaking out like I did at 23.

Have fun at BlogHer and hope you have a great birthday!

OOh I agree, summer month bdays are the best for maximizing the presents! (My birthday was July 1st!)

Glad you're having fun at BlogHer. I wrote a post today saying I was sad I wasn't there to rub elbows with all you fantastic ladies. Will live vicariously through you :)

Can't wait to hear all about your trip and to see pictures from H&M. I hate not having one in Texas!
